MADAGASCAR ROSEWOOD
:: Dalbergia maritima

Madagascar is a relative newcomer to the tonal world. It is both vibrant and articulate, especially in the upper registers. I find it to be the most balanced of the rosewoods, certainly the kindest to the midrange. It is brighter than Brazilian and less reflective than Cocobolo. Madagascar Rosewood supports the initial volume of any given note seamlessly, with exceptional clarity.
