This elegant material is certainly the most esteemed and sought after of all the rosewoods. Brazilian is dark and lush -- there is something mysterious about its voice, something alluring. We are all drawn to what this species has to say. I think that Brazilian is articulate but also full bodied. I have a number of sets of very old Brazilian that are perfectly quartersawn chocolate brown with tight spruce-like growth rings.
